About Us

DAUGHAN was founded in 2025 by a 3-generation mother and daughter team Betse, Sarah and Savannah. It was born by a necessity to create bespoke bags and better skincare.

Each bag is thoughtfully crafted using Dacon sails (keeping them out of our oceans and landfills), and never duplicated. Our soaps are made using the melt-and-pour process, which allows us to keep the end product simple and use a quicker process for a completed item (I, Sarah, don't have the patience to wait 4 weeks for soap to cure).

Every item on this site is crafted by us girls, in either Texas or Arizona. NOTHING is ever made out of the US. Now, that being said, your bag may take a little longer as we are designing it, sewing each part and shipping it to you. We aren't a big team, just the 3 of us, with one being 4 years young. 

Where did the name come from?

DAUGHAN (pronounced Daw-Hun : Irish name) is actually my late great-grandmothers maiden name on my mother’s side. My mom does genealogy and sent me a list of everyone on her side and my dads. Daughan simply stood out - looked the best on labels and sounded different to pronounce (Daw-Hun, Dawn, Don - whatever you fancy that makes you remember the name). 

Are any products made outside the USA?

NOPE!! It’s our goal to keep everything made in the USA, focusing on the bespoke craft. It’s more personal to create a bag that is personalized to our customer than having 5 people own the same design. 

Why don't your soaps have designs on them or added things on top or bright colors?

We are all about keeping things simple. Do you really need a bar of soap in the bathroom that has sprinkles, bright lights and plays music in the shower?? Think about it, your grabbing the soap, lathering up, putting it back on the shelf, then rinsing.
